Health & Wellbeing
At Tommy More we strive to nurture the physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing of our residents.

On-Campus Care
Our Head of College, Tom Mitchell, and Deputy Head of College, Mim Jones, live on campus with their families. They are available to both students and parents alike, for pastoral care, and physical and emotional wellbeing 24/7, along with the team of Resident Advisors who are also current residents and rostered in shifts each night to ensure the welfare of all students.
Tommy More is like a family. We are all here for one another. And our staff are here to support all residents on campus.

Resident Advisor Team
Our Residential Advisor’s are at the core of our Health and Wellbeing Program. Each RA group meets up regularly to ensure that residents are able to get to know their neighbours, are aware of important information and are encouraged to participate in upcoming events. This is also a chance for the RA’s to check in with everyone on their floor.
Furthermore, our RA’s have received training in first aid, mental health first aid and emergency management and response.
-
Inter-Wing Activities
Inter-Wing Activities consist of a competition between the different floors, wings and buildings around College. Various representatives from each of the eight groups meet once a week to earn points for their team, which count towards an end-of-year trophy. Activities include quad soccer, basketball and many more!
-
Events
Events that have a focus on being physically, mentally and emotionally fit, such as Women's Health Week and R U OK? Day activities are promoted throughout the College and residents are encouraged to participate.
At Tommy, we have an RA for Wellbeing. The RA for Wellbeing organises events and initiatives around College with a general focus on health and wellbeing awareness.

Counselling Service
We recognise there is a range of personal and academic concerns, which can have an impact on your ability to study effectively. Our Student Wellbeing Advisor (for College Row) is available to help you better manage these concerns and continue to succeed with your studies.
In addition, UWA has the Living Room and Counselling and Psychological Services available, which provide professional and confidential assistance free of charge to students of UWA.

Spiritual Life
The College continues to offer sacramental and spiritual growth opportunities in keeping with its Catholic heritage. However, it is important that all prospective students understand that these are not imposed. Our College Chaplain conducts Student Mass and regular Sunday Mass in the College’s Chapel which is open to the public and College Row students.
At Tommy, we love sport.
At Tommy “WE LOVE SPORT”. A weekday afternoon would hardly be classed as normal without a game of footy or soccer out on the quad, with random teams of students taking a break from their studies to get some exercise and take out some aggression on an innocent leather ball. As well as recreational facilities on site, our residents have access to our own gym as well. We are also lucky enough to have the most visually amazing running tracks along the Swan River or Kings Park.
Inter-College Sport
The five Colleges across College Row compete in a number of sporting activities, from ultimate frisbee, rugby, hockey, soccer and many more. This promotes healthy competition, and camaraderie within Tommy, and also across the wider College community.
At Tommy, we love to win, but we also pride ourselves on our team spirit.
